Recap 2013: The Homebrewer’s Tent

It rained. A lot. A LOT.

But despite the rain, the faithful came out to sample the goods at the 2013 Homebrewing Tent at KAHBANG.

The rain couldn’t keep away blogger Chad Lothian, Brew Fest organizer Kelley Burich, keynote speaker John Palmer, Central Street Farmhouse owner Zeth Lundy and hundreds of others who braved the weather to sample the goods at the 2013 Homebrewing Tent.

The homebrewing scene has exploded. Individual techniques, ingredient choice and recipes are now often as sophisticated as micro-brews and established labels. This years tent was curated by Central Street Farmhouse, which has become a mecca in Central Maine for homebrewer’s and beer enthusiasts. Attendees were able to sample a variety of brews from each participant, experience brewing demonstrations and talk shop with peers who came from all over New England and Atlantic Canada to attend the event and the KahBrewFest, the following day.

For participating homebrewer’s, it was a rare opportunity to share their recipes and connect with a mass audience.
